The Opportunity
We are looking for experienced, creative, and dynamic individuals to teach in various undergraduate and graduate programs.

Subjects to be taught include general business topics, communications, finance and accounting, marketing, HR, operations, project management, computer programming, computer network administration, office administration, global trade, and others (including general education).


Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Designs and delivers student-centered learning:

  • Delivers core curriculum as defined in program charter.
  • Develops weekly class sessions, activities and assignments which highlight the core curriculum and related topics.
  • Provides inclass instruction through a variety of modes, creating opportunities for student success.
  • Integrates industryfocused material into class discussion and assignments.

Enables student outcomes:

  • Defines and communicates clear expectations about student progress through the learning journey.
  • Provides instruction that fosters student achievement of course and program outcomes.
  • Provides both formal and informal feedback (including marking of assessments) that clearly indicates the student's progress through the material.
  • Identifies students who are struggling, and intervenes to address roadblocks and challenges.
  • Identifies resources that support better student outcomes and directs students to those resources
  • Helps students solve problems that may impede successful program completion through advising, assisting, and/or referring students on academic or personal matters
  • Ensures that learning activities are conducive to active student learning:
  • Establishes a classroom environment conducive to collaborative learning.
  • Ensures that activities encourage active student involvement and monitors student participation.
  • Notes, intervenes, and escalates any case of academic misconduct, harassment or violation of the student code of conduct.

Fulfills administrative duties:

  • Keeps accurate records.
  • Submits grade and other reports on time.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain an atmosphere of friendly teamwork among the students.
  • Ensure student awareness of course objectives, instructional approach, and evaluation systems.
  • Carry out regularly scheduled instruction according to the format prescribed for the course, including online, classroom, and computerassisted lab lessons.
  • Create and maintain a positive learning environment which supports the diversity of students' cultures, educational backgrounds, and learning styles.
  • Collaborate and build relations with another program faculty.
  • Adhere to ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements and/or principles in the development and management of computing solutions and systems.
  • Innovate, develop and deliver courses, labs and/or workshops in the classroom/elearning.
  • Evaluating student progress/achievement and assuming responsibility for the overall assessment of the student's work within assigned courses.
Additional duties as assigned.


Required skills, experience & education-

  • Program requirements:_
  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Networking/Science, or similar fashion from a recognized institution
  • Minimum 3 or more years of teaching and 5 years of industry work experience
  • Specialization in the specific area/field of instruction of networking technician or technologist, both through education and industry work experience
  • Previous teaching experience is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success.

Proficiency and certification in CISCO.

(CCNA Must have & Valid) MS (MCSA) (Python) (LPI) (RDBMS, SQL) (CISSP, COMPTIA) (VMWare) (MS Azure Must have & Valid)

  • Knowledge and experience of computer systems, LMS (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite) and educational technologies (e.g. BB, D2L, Zoom) is an asset.
  • Teaching experience is preferred; teaching areas include but are not limited to:
  • Networks/Router/Switching essentials, connectivity, Computer virtualization.
  • Web languages: HTML/CSS code
  • Linux Network administration
  • Windows server administration
  • Phyton.
