Description

Duties and responsibilities

  • Responsible for pump customer relationships and business development for the related product lines.
  • Identifies new market opportunities and leads by qualifying accounts.
  • Initiates sales process by scheduling appointments; making initial presentation; understanding account requirements.
  • Gains credibility by explaining or demonstrating products and process improvements.
  • Closes sales by building rapport with potential accounts, explaining pump product and service capabilities.
  • Maintains relationships with current clients; providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities.
  • Expands sales in existing accounts by introducing new products and services.
  • Preparing quotes, sales orders, and contracts.
  • Contributes information to market strategy by monitoring competitive products and reactions from accounts.
  • Recommends new products and services by evaluating current product results; identifying needs to be filled.
  • Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers.
  • Contributes to team effort as needed.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.

Qualifications

  • Extensive industry sales experience, proven revenue growth experience
  • Deep knowledge of pumps and civil infrastructure markets
  • Selfstarter with excellent work ethic and high degree of autonomy
  • Energetic and ambitious
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Knowledge of BC, Lower Mainland is an asset

Working conditions

  • Travel required
  • Work outside normal business hours may be required

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Shift:

  • 8 hour shift

Experience:

Industrial Sales: 3 years (preferred)

  • Pumps and /or
Civil Infrastructure Market: 3 years (preferred)
