The Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF) is the National Government of the Red River Métis - also known as the Manitoba Métis.

The Red River Métis are Canada's Negotiating Partners in Confederation and the Founders of the Province of Manitoba.


The MMF seeks to fill
one full-time Health Informatics Analyst position within our
Health & Wellness Department located at 150 Henry Avenue in
Winnipeg, MB.

The Health Informatics Analyst will develop systems used to collect, configure, and analyze data, and identify ways to improve and foster databases integration and reporting efficiencies.


_ Job Duties/Competencies:
_


  • Design, develop, and maintain systems to store and manage Métis Health data, ensuring data integrity, security, and privacy;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data collection needs and define data models and structures to accommodate diverse data types;
  • Implement data standards, protocols, and procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and interoperability of Métis Health data;
  • Monitor data systems, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks to optimize performance;
  • Evaluate, select, and implement informatics tools, software, and systems to support data management and analysis for Métis Health data;
  • Integrate Métis Health data systems with other organizational systems to facilitate seamless data exchange.

_ Skills and Qualifications:
_


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, health informatics, data management, or a related field;
  • Proficiency in informatics tools and techniques for data analysis and visualization (R, Python, Tableau, etc.);
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations and experience implementing data security measures;
  • Familiarity with health informatics standards, data interoperability, and health data exchange protocols;
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems and data modelling concepts;
  • Proficiency in

Microsoft Office:
Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint;

  • Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail;
  • Experience working for a notforprofit organization and Indigenous community is an asset;
  • Knowledge of Red River Métis culture, MMF programs and services is a definite asset; and,
  • Ability to travel, valid Manitoba Driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle.
