Plastic Packager - AM (Day) shift

CMP Group Ltd., a leading provider of Marine Products, Construction, and Industrial solutions is seeking Plastic Packagers
(Extruder packagers for the AM shift) on a
full-time temporary/ contract basis
(until July) to join the
Vaughan location/team. The Plastic Packager reports to the Lead Hand, Plastic department.

Pay
- $17.50

Responsibilities

Package plastic parts
General assembly work, open to cross training
Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs.
Perform accurate review of work orders, meet/exceed cycle times per work orders and scan in and out of work orders using wedge scanning
Understand and work within all company standard policies and operating procedures, and pay special attention to safety and equipment procedures and features
Report equipment/tooling conditions and operation & maintenance recommendations
Possess basic understanding of equipment operation, packaging and press machines
Promote safe work practices as outlined in the Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act and strive for Zerotime lost accidents
Certified in WHMIS and 4S, Knowledge of ISO 900
Ensure required PPE is worn at all times
Ensure quality policies and procedures are followed and support internal and external auditors during quality audits
Provide recommendations for changes to Visual aids
Attend crew talk meetings and participate in training/cross train in other departments as required
Maintain daily housekeeping responsibilities
Operate small machinery or press when required and other duties as assigned

Requirements:

12 years of experience as a packager in a manufacturing environment
Solid understanding of safety standards and best practices
Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Eagar to work, reliable, dependable, team player, safety mindset and prioritizing to meet deadlines and can work efficiently under pressure
