Description
The Project Lead role is quite extensive and allows for a good variety of tasks on a daily basis.

During projects, this individual will oversee all aspects of the project to ensure the completion of the project in a safe, on-time, on-budget manner.

Maintenance (10%)

  • Develop monthly and yearly budgets as required.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Director of Projects & Technology to ensure timelines are being met and adjustments made where necessary. During this meeting challenges brought forward may spark the need to seek out new solutions.
  • Work with the maintenance manager to schedule additional help as required in order to maintain the project when required for new construction and renovation projects.
Project Management (50%)

  • Be involved in the design, quoting, negotiation, and implementation of all capital projects and renovations.
  • Manage all construction projects and capital equipment installations, including the commissioning of all projects to both the maintenance and operations departments
  • Work with the operations manager and individual teams to ensure that the project is implemented properly and that the original goals of the project are met
  • Oversee the construction traded and subcontractors for capital projects
  • Be involved in the development of budgets, drawings, and scheduling for all construction projects
  • Problemsolve and troubleshoot issues to bring a good resolution
  • Act in the best interest of the ownership of Truly Green Farms when dealing with vendors, contractors, fellow business partners (Greenfield Global), and government officials (inspectors) as required
Technology & Future Opportunities (40%)

  • Research and explore new opportunities and technology
  • Search out technical solutions and develop feasibility studies to present to ownership
  • Assist ownership in business planning
  • Be empowered to take time to explore the industry and gain knowledge of the constantlychanging technology (may include trade shows, farm visits, etc.)
Communication

  • Attend senior management meetings as required

Please note:
This position may require after-hours and weekend work. Sunday work may be required in the event of an emergency.


Qualifications:


  • 25 years of prior experience in a similar/related role
