Stereo Supervisor***
Location:Toronto, ON - Hybrid***
Hours of Operation:9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. EST

***: Stereo Supervisor is responsible for providing artistic and technical direction to ensure the creation of superior 3D conversion that meets the expectations of our Stereographers and their clients. The Stereo Supervisor must be able to lead by example, creating an enthusiastic and optimistic tone for their show while collaborating with all departments to ensure work is completed on time and within their budget.

MAIN DUTIES:
  • Works closely with creatives, producers, and artists to develop the stereo style of a film
  • Be aware of the impact creative decisions have on a show's schedule & budget and be willing to change creative choices, when possible, to stay on schedule and within budget
  • Implement and support the pipeline, including any software or hardware needs, required for superb stereo conversion, seeking advice when appropriate. Is this their responsibility as it sounds technical and more in Pipe's realm? Maybe remove or move it lower on the list of responsibilities
  • Openly receive direction and criticism from the Stereographers and/or clients and be able to communicate and define their expectations to artists and department managers
  • Review shots and clearly outline accomplishments and areas needing improvement
  • Delegate creative and technical tasks, as needed, to the appropriate personnel to maintain an overview of the creative and production goals of the show
  • Anticipate potential production problems and proactively suggest solutions, as appropriate
  • Accountable for supervising productivity goals, prioritizing tasks and providing accurate estimates for shot completion while working with limited resources
  • Researches and helps develop new technology and techniques to improve our artistic pipeline
  • Mentoring and developing the artists, helping them reach their full potential as artists or future leaders

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Previous experience in a senior leadership capacity with the ability to influence and motivate staff
  • Ability to work with competency, energy and enthusiasm in a team environment with mínimal supervision
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership skills, consistently delivering great results within a fastpaced, rapidly environment
  • Ability to make timely decisions while maintaining positive relationships with teams.
  • Able to communicate clearly to vendors and clients and interpret feedback into actionable direction
  • When noting shots; able to stay focused on big picture issues instead of unnecessary details
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and/or weekends to meet project deadlines.
  • Demonstrates superb problemsolving skills and takes the initiative to offer ideas and suggestions
  • Bachelor of Arts degree or similar experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), active listening and interpersonal skills are critical to be successful in this role
  • Strong technical problemsolving skills
