Highlights of the job

We are hiring two full-time permanent Systems Analyst positions working out of Edmonton, AB.

This position may be eligible for EPCOR's hybrid work program.

What you'd be responsible for

Employing open communication and analytical skills to resolve operational issues effectively for customers within expected timeframes.
Ensuring system reliability and availability through dedicated system monitoring, maintenance and change management.
Assisting with the completion of Transition to Operations reviews and checklists.
Overseeing root cause analysis on issues to mitigate and prevent future risk.
Executing daily job duties with a focus on continuous improvement of processes and systems.
Participating in Major Capital Projects as required.
Providing positive contributions to documentation and knowledgebase to allow for the longterm sustainability of EPCOR Information Services.
Abiding by all Application Services departmental policies and processes.

What's required to be successful

Successful completion of a Computer Science or Engineering degree or a Computer Engineering/System Technology diploma is required.
4+ years of related experience is required.
Intermediate knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems
Knowledge of the following would be desirable:
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Java, C#, APEX.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Oracle Middleware, Forms & Reports
Experience in billing systems
Experience with network troubleshooting and utilizing troubleshooting tools (e.g. wireshark, fiddler, netcat)
Knowledge of Azure services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) is desirable
Previous experience with System Delivery Life Cycle using one or more common programming languages.
