Jim Pattison Hyundai Northshore is hiring a Service Shop Foreman to join our team


ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Controlling the flow of work in the shop.
  • Comply with federal, provincial and municipal regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
  • Ensuring Technicians follow warranty procedures on all jobs.
  • Provide guests excellent customer service.
  • Answering customer inquiries and technical information calls.
  • Ensuring quality control including Qchecks and repeat repair investigations.
  • Participating in regular shop safety including training, compliance, and ensure safety of equipment.
  • Taking part in weekly shop meetings.
  • Looking after temporary workers when necessary such as students.
  • Monitoring training needs of team, and scheduling necessary training.
  • Tracking tools and shop equipment to ensure good working order.
  • Regular repair and maintenance of shop equipment.
  • Updating diagnostic tools.
  • Ensuring there is enough tools on hand for service department to function appropriately.
  • Follow Company safety policies and practices, and immediately, report any and all accidents to a Manager/Supervisor.
  • This position will be expected to perform other duties as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:


  • Certified Hyundai Master technician.
  • Working knowledge of automotive equipment.
  • A highly selfmotivated and organized individual.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal skills to effectively work with other members of the Service Department team.
  • Must be committed to consistently delivering high quality work.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
  • A valid British Columbia driver's license, and ability to provide drivers abstract for review.
