Jim Pattison Hyundai Northshore is hiring a Service Shop Foreman to join our team

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Controlling the flow of work in the shop.
Comply with federal, provincial and municipal regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
Ensuring Technicians follow warranty procedures on all jobs.
Provide guests excellent customer service.
Answering customer inquiries and technical information calls.
Ensuring quality control including Qchecks and repeat repair investigations.
Participating in regular shop safety including training, compliance, and ensure safety of equipment.
Taking part in weekly shop meetings.
Looking after temporary workers when necessary such as students.
Monitoring training needs of team, and scheduling necessary training.
Tracking tools and shop equipment to ensure good working order.
Regular repair and maintenance of shop equipment.
Updating diagnostic tools.
Ensuring there is enough tools on hand for service department to function appropriately.
Follow Company safety policies and practices, and immediately, report any and all accidents to a Manager/Supervisor.
This position will be expected to perform other duties as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Certified Hyundai Master technician.
Working knowledge of automotive equipment.
A highly selfmotivated and organized individual.
Welldeveloped interpersonal skills to effectively work with other members of the Service Department team.
Must be committed to consistently delivering high quality work.
Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
A valid British Columbia driver's license, and ability to provide drivers abstract for review.
