Essential Functions:


This position works closely with Underwriters, insurance brokers (our customers) in the binding of insurance, servicing of policies, and review/follow-up of underwriting information.

The position encourages and creates opportunities for growth so team members can develop their insurance acumen for long term company advancement.


Other Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Review and professionally handle all customer inquiries within our service promise with a focus on quality and efficiency
  • Work collaboratively with multiple departments to ensure best possible outcome for all inquiries while minimizing touches and providing excellent customer service
  • Work within underwriting authority and obtain underwriter approval when necessary
  • Pursue opportunities for growth and development through USLI University, continuing education, workshops and classes
  • Communicate ideas for procedural or workflow improvement
  • Complete departmental specific reports or projects
  • Assist in training new team members when ready

Specific Skills:


  • Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong commitment to customer service and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced team environment
  • Desire to learn and understand our insurance product offerings

Minimum Job Requirements:


  • Postsecondary education or equivalent business experience
  • Property/Casualty insurance experience
  • History of continuing insurance education preferred
