About the role:
The
Key Account Specialist is responsible for maintaining developed relationships and building positive relationships with customers and suppliers through generating accurate quotations, sales orders and returns that align with organizational sales targets.
Key Account Specialist works closely with Outside Sales and/or Branch Manager to provide excellent customer service, prevent potential issues, and monitor ongoing projects.
Position Type/Schedule
This role will be onsite based out of the branch location. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week.
Work Location: 3935 2nd Ave, Burnaby, BC V5C 3W9
What are the Key Accountabilities?

Customer/Supplier Relations. Interprets customer needs and prioritizes and responds to customer inquiries in a timely manner.

Customer Service Orientated. Providing excellent customer service is key for this role as it will require maintaining and building customer relations through product quotations and sales.

Quotations. Generates quotations using a variety of methods and provides accurate oral and written quotations in a timely manner.

Project Management. Assists in the facilitation and follow-up with ongoing projects, contracts and quotations. May negotiate pricing or escalate order complexity, pricing or other issues to the appropriate Manager or Sales representative.

Strong Multi-tasker. This role will require you to juggle through a number of client requests and being able to meet competing timelines.

Highly Organized. Being organized is key due to the high volume of customer requests that will require you to adjust and work through interruptions.

Collaborative Communicator. Communication is essential for this role, both verbal and written, including facilitation skills of group presentations in person or virtual. Communicate with customers to determine appropriate solutions for pricing and product mix.

Tech Savvy. Proficient in MS Office, MS 365, and comfortable with digital and technological tools.'
What You'll Bring To This Role?
- High school completion
- 5+ years of sales and customer service experience
- 5+ years of electrical industry experience
- Electrical product knowledge is a must
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Office) with the ability to learn new software programs
- Wide range of expertise in the products and services provided by E.B. Horsman & Son
- Basic mathematical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
