What you'll be doing

The Capital Markets arm of CIBC provides corporate, government, and institutional clients with innovative solutions to help them raise capital and grow and invest actively throughout North America and key financial centers around the world.

The Alternate Solution Group (ASG) is part of the Global Markets business.

The group is responsible for deploying and executing a number of market leading, innovative payment and money movement solutions servicing financial institutions, public sector clients, corporates, small businesses and CIBC's retail branch network.

ASG is a FinTech oriented disrupter with market leading foreign exchange capabilities.

Unlike traditional FinTech organizations, CIBC provides a high degree of safety and security as one of the strongest financial institutions in North America.

You'll be part of the team that focuses on understanding the FinTech industry & disruptive technologies that are revolutionizing traditional banking products and services with a particular focus on FX & payments.

How you'll Succeed

Collaboration - You'll have an opportunity to support the ASG team with product development along with sales and marketing of the various solutions we have developed.

Solution Development -You will also work with ASG leadership to increase revenues and productivity and be measured on your ability to expand product capability, distribution and growth.

You'll have the chance to work closely with product heads to develop appropriate solutions and timely execution and monitor and analyze market activities & economic factors, on an ongoing basis throughout the day to be in a position to respond to client requests.

Who You Are:

You have an Undergraduate University degree. You have an understanding and awareness of the Payment, FinTech industry, and disruptive technologies revolutionizing traditional banking products and services with a focus on foreign exchange and payments. degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Math or a related field.
You embrace and advocate for change. Ability to think strategically and conceptualize ideas in an entrepreneurial manner. Ability to prioritize tasks and create a focus around what is strategically important, is approachable, viewed as a partner and eager to assist in all aspects of the business.
You give meaning to data. Excellent analytical and intellectual capabilities to drive growth and product enhancement. Ability to draft comprehensive proposals using advanced frameworks in PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
You know that details matter. You give a high level of attention to detail. You notice things that others don't. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making. Ability to multitask in a fastpaced, results oriented work environment with excellent time management skills.
You're motivated by collective success. Promotes a culture of teamwork with a personal drive to exceed expectations.
You have relevant sales experience. Experience in financial services and solutions for business clients is considered an asset.
You have knowledge of foreign exchange and payments.
You have exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
