We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time temporary Project Coordinator, Capital Improvements to join our Store Development team in Langley, BC.
Reporting to the Manager, Facilities Maintenance you will work with all areas of the business ensuring the smooth project completion of capital improvement projects including identifying the scope of projects, scheduling and budgeting.
You will be responsible for:
- Partnering with multiple areas of the business, including retail operations, merchandising, costing correspondence, store planning/design and procurement for approved Capital/Maintenance Improvement Projects to ensure smooth project completion.
- Clearly identifying scope of projects, schedule, and budget.
- Assessing service contractors and supplier qualifications specific to each identified Capital Improvement request.
- Preparing construction cost estimates for approved project requests.
- Coordinating the successful execution of Capital Improvement projects including the securing of service contractors, developing workflow schedules, and completion of health and safety expectations.
- Performing supervisory functions at a level established by management.
- Overseeing all aspects of construction, including travel to site, site meetings, and project progression to plan.
- Reviewing the work of service contractors to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with project expectation.
You have:
- 35 years of relevant experience, construction project experience preferred. Working knowledge of construction, fire suppression, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC systems, building automation and elevating devices along with the ability to read F1 and CADD drawings. Valid BC driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and the ability to travel on an as needed basis. Retail grocery experience considered an asset. Food safe certification an asset.
