Position Overview

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Operator will contribute to the overall production team to ensure efficient, on-time, quality-controlled Grain production.

The successful applicant will be responsible for verifying the quality of grain produced, assist other team members to maintain continual and efficient production, cross train on all production related tasks, as well as some general maintenance duties as required.

Job Responbilites

  • Identify and manage hazards/risks. Set up the cleaning system for a variety of commodities and adjust to achieve the product grade. Regular sampling and analysis of cleaned product and screenings. Completion of product logs for daily production reports. Ensure that all the equipment in the plant is running in as intended condition. Ensure compliance with all SOP's applicable to plant operation. Perform necessary maintenance and inspections on equipment.

Requirements:

Minimum

  • Knowledge of the grain industry will be considered an asset
  • Production experience will be considered an asset
  • Shift work is required
  • Ability to lift 25 kgs
  • Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate (both written and orally) and work efficiently with all operations
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions ranging from 40 to +40 degrees Celsius
