Description

NOTE:

This is a part-time, permanent position with a potential increase for the Winter 2024 term.**This program will deliver online and in-person classes, with labs held on campus and/or at an off-site clinic.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and present learning outcomes and activities in the classroom and labs, both virtually and in person
  • Facilitate the learning process by utilizing instructional strategies that ensure efficient and effective delivery of course materials
  • Manage instructional delivery and set the tone and climate for a safe and effective learning environment
  • Evaluate the learning process
  • Utilize appropriate educational technology for presentations, communications and program promotions
  • Respond to student issues and provide early and ongoing student coaching and tutoring to maximize student success and retention
  • Utilize regular student feedback to identify and implement instructional improvement
  • Maintain professional and ethical relationships with students, patients and colleagues
  • Improve the quality of instruction through professional development activities
  • Some evening and/or weekend hours for lab instruction and other educational events may be required in certain semesters
  • Conduct virtual and inperson site visits with the students and clinical partner sites
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress during clinical
  • Provide preceptor support
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Abilities:


  • Computer skills are essential
  • Experience in the delivery of adult education is desirable

Qualifications:


  • A Diploma or Certificate in Magnetic Resonance Imaging from a recognized postsecondary institute
  • A related bachelor's degree (in health sciences or science, preferred) and 25 years of recent, relevant clinical experience as an MRI Technologist
  • CAMRT certification in MRI, ACMDTT registration in MRI required
  • IV Certification considered an asset
  • Immunizations status and police information checks, as required by the program, may be requested
  • Annual certification in BLS for HCP may be required

Remuneration:
$ $856.87 biweekly (based on 7.25 hours per week), plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification - Instructor).

  • This position is covered by the NAIT Academic Staff Association (NASA) Collective Agreement._
