    DEPARTMENT: Finance

    REPORTS TO: Director of Finance

    DATE: May 2024

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Manager is primarily responsible for the following:

    • Lead the monthly closing process
    • Supervises junior finance team and reviews work for accuracy
    • Perform monthly analysis by providing commentary and insights
    • Identify and drive new processes to more efficiently and/or effectively achieve financial goals
    • Assist with various ad hoc projects as needed
    • Develop, recommend and partner to implement process improvements and tools that will help improve financial reporting and controls
    • Acts as a liaison with the company's external auditors
    • Other duties that align with the above requirements
    WHAT YOU BRING
    • CPA designation
    • Experience with month end closing process
    • Experience leading a team of direct reports and reviewing work
    • Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, model building, and financial functions). Experience with Sage Intacct is considered an asset
    • Experience and knowledge of the quick service restaurant/food and beverage industry is considered an asset
    • Demonstrated ability to "roll up the sleeves" and work with the team in a hands-on capacity
    • Analytical strengths with practical understanding of business drivers

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
    • Some local travel may be required.
    • Hybrid work model- 3 days per week in office (located in Etobicoke)
    • Salary range: $85,000 - $98,000 per year
