Clerk III, Payroll to join our team at
Uptown Latitude located in
New Westminster, BC.

Detailed Overview:
The Clerk provides support to the department by performing clerical duties related to the preparation and processing of payroll information such as gathering data for various areas within payroll, reviewing and inputting information into databases, mail handling and distribution.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews payroll information such as hours worked, wage rate, deductions, and benefit accruals.
- Verifies cheques against input data. Sorts and distributes cheques as required.
- Answers inquiries related to the preparation and processing of payroll information by providing information such as pay periods, distribution of cheques and deductions such as benefits, union dues or referring to the appropriate area.
- Set up electronic filing system using scanning equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education, Training & Experience
Grade 12 and one year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to keyboard at 45 w.p.m.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal effectively with others.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
Salary range:
The salary range for this position is CAD $ $23.83 / hour
