About the Role

The Delivery Driver position is responsible for daily customer deliveries, material pick-up from vendors, inter-branch material transfers, and accurate picking, packing, shipping, and receiving of material.

Major Responsibilities

Pick up and deliver various items and products.
Picking, packing and putting away orders.
Load and unload goods from the truck.
Perform pretrip inspection of the vehicle.
Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any issues.
Obtain and display knowledge of products.
Work with accuracy in a safe and efficient manner.
Drive safely and follow all traffic laws and regulations.
Responsible for carrying out any other duties assigned by management.

Skills and Qualifications

Must have a valid driver's license
Class G with a clean driving abstract (to be provided)
Must be insurable. Drivers' abstract needs to be provided after an offer is made and before hiring
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Must have grade 12 or GED equivalent
Responsible and reliable
Must be a team player
Ability to multitask and prioritize
Excellent time management skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent organizational skills
Accuracy in following instructions
Professional demeanour
