Find, a subsidiary of Homeward Trust Edmonton is a social enterprise that contributes to ending homelessness through providing furniture to previously homeless community members that have accessed housing through the Housing First program.

In addition, Find also supplies low-cost, quality furniture for sale to the public to support the mission of Find or provided to individuals to establish their new home.

Position Summary

At your core, you should be passionate about helping people.

We work with a diverse group of people to help our most vulnerable friends transition out of homelessness and into their new home through the Housing First program and human connection is a must.

You are an organized person that loves getting a workout in while you work. You have a great driving record and a firm understanding the roadways in Edmonton and surrounding areas. You take care of your vehicle, can pack a truck and have great attention to detail. You prioritize safety.


Responsibilities:


As a passionate and organized individual with a great driving record, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of the vehicle crew, loading and unloading trucks, and confirming the most effective and economical route.

You will prioritize safety, provide great customer service, and have a firm understanding of the roadways in Edmonton and surrounding areas.


This role is responsible for Housing First deliveries, customer deliveries and donor pick-ups, as well as all safety aspects of the vehicle crew in the loading/unloading, securing, and safe operations of the vehicle.


This includes but is not limited to:

  • Providing great customer service.
  • Booking and verifying appointments for donation pickups, customer deliveries and Housing First deliveries.
  • Loading and unloading trucks as required.
  • Establishing and confirming the most effective and economical route along with providing a time schedule for the day's requirements.
  • Ensuring all vehicle crew members follow all policies and procedures of Find for vehicle movements, loadingunloading procedures, and client/customer safety.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Available Monday-Sunday with flexibility to work up to 37.5 hours per week.
  • Able to work in steel toe shoes/boots.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Possess solid analytical, critical thinking and problemsolving.
  • Clear criminal record check.
  • Weekend availability is required
