Role Overview:

We are currently looking to welcome a Paralegal to our Corporate Services Compliance & Audit Team in Vancouver.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Corporate Services Compliance & Audit, and the Manager, Corporate Services, Vancouver, this individual will participate in the national annual maintenance workflow.


  • Participation in national annual compliance workflow for British Columbia and Federal home jurisdictions, extraprovincial compliance, and partnership and business name renewals, including:
Drafting and delivering monthly client communications regarding upcoming annual maintenance obligations

Preparation, drafting and filing of annual returns and annual consent resolutions

Facilitation of preparation and filing of extra-provincial annual compliance and renewals

Update of annual compliance fields within corporate database, Athennian

Communicating with Corporate Services Team members regarding required corporate updates

  • Collaborating with and providing project support to the Supervisor, Corporate Services Compliance & Audit and Corporate Services Compliance & Audit Coordinator
  • Providing general assistance, as required
  • 1+ years of experience at a law firm in a paralegal role
  • Experience in corporate governance and regulatory compliance
  • Understanding of implications of legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Paralegal or law clerk accreditation or university degree
  • Computer literate with strong working knowledge of legal software (including Athennian) and standard software
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and client service skills
  • Confident and dependable, with strong initiative and ability to work both independently and in a teamoriented atmosphere
