About This Opportunity:

Mayflower Medical Clinic is a busy well established clinic with four experienced physicians and support staff. This clinic is located in an easily accessible spot in the popular Halifax suburb of Clayton Park. Our clinic provides a collegial and supportive work environment. We are seeking a family medicine physician to provide locum coverage August , 2024.
Each office has its own computer for patient encounters
The clinic uses EMR - MedAccess.
No on call required.
Remuneration is the daily locum rate of $1200 per day.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention

Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners'

Act as a patient's advocate

Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations

Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements

Expected Hours:

To be determined with the clinic.

Qualifications:

Eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)

Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)

Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
