Responsibilities:


  • Assisting and supporting the department with daytoday HR and payroll administration related tasks.
  • Supporting payroll processes by monitoring and reviewing employee attendance. Ensuring all hours worked and associated pay are input properly with accordance to company policies.
  • Accurate and timely end to end processing of payrolls and payments via direct deposit; including new employee set up, handling terminations with ROEs using Ceridian Powerpay.
  • Ensures that eligible employees are set up with appropriate deductions for group insurance plans and group RRSP plans, as applicable, and ensure all such deductions are remitted timely.
  • Knowledge of all applicable legislation, including the Employment Standards Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, Pay Equity Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and general knowledge of Human Resources Policy and Procedures.
  • Assisting other departments and employees by answering general HR questions with the utmost confidentiality.
  • Maintaining physical and digital personnel records, including but not limited to employment contracts, training certificates and vacation requests.
  • Publishing, monitoring, and removing job postings as required.
  • Ensuring all required hiring documentation is complete and processed.
  • Updating internal databases with new hire information.
  • Following the offboarding process when necessary.
  • Drafting employee letters, internal communications, postings, and other documentation.
  • Supporting management with performance evaluations by monitoring employee progress and time with the company. Preparing necessary documentation as needed.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements:


  • Postsecondary diploma or degree in Business Administration or Human Resources would be an asset.
  • 12 years of HR Administration experience or combination of both education and experience are an asset.
  • Knowledge of HR functions (i.e., pay and benefits, recruitment, compensation, etc.)
  • Familiarity with the Ceridian Powerpay payroll software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Office, and Outlook.

Salary:
$50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
