Product Manager

Long term contract

Montreal, QE

Development Responsibilities:


  • Drive Product Development roadmap and priorities
  • Client focused development of product/business requirements to meet client needs
  • Plan, manage and support delivery phases leveraging Business/product and Technology stakeholders
  • Facilitate workshops and conduct knowledge sharing sessions as needed
  • Develop/drive product requirements and support tech development to delivery
  • Liaise with Technology teams to define estimates for proposed development work, and drive prioritization and delivery efforts
  • Active prioritization of defects to close product gaps
  • Inclination towards datadriven decisionmaking without being paralyzed by incomplete information

Stakeholder Management:


  • Build effective relationships with key Product, Technology, Operations, Sales and functional leads; while being able to effectively challenge them to move projects forward where needed
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize feedback
  • Able to build relationships with and influence colleagues and cross function players to meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage stakeholder expectations across multiple parallel work streams
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders

Product Management:


  • Clear communication and demos to clients on product functionality
  • Address any gap/issues as they arise to clients and stakeholders
  • Take ownership to drive forward to resolve for identified issues; both by maintaining a catalog of product gaps as well closing client escalated issues
  • Understand, improve, or redesign existing processes (where needed) to create efficiency towards a better client experience
  • Report new opportunities and changes with goforward recommendations
  • Problem Solving & Analysis
  • Ability to break down analyses and issues into their individual components
  • Execute creative analyses and provide insight to identify issues and arrive at recommendations
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts
  • Ability to keep sight of the overall context and remain centered on core product proposition
  • Keeps track of deliverables and proactively followups and provides updates
  • Ensure appropriate approvals are in place with compliance and legal
  • Maintain Product catalog/documentation (yearly reviews)

Communication:


  • Confident speaker with ability to provide clear and succinct verbal updates on their work to colleagues and senior executives
  • Actively contributes to team meetings with colleagues & with stakeholders from other functions
  • PowerPoint skills able to structure senior management presentations following direction

Basic Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 10 years of product management experience; Preferred with knowledge of the Retirement Insurance Domain
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Agile delivery methodology
  • Demonstrated total ownership behavior and attitude
  • Adapt to utilizing MS Project, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and business intelligence tools

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business management, project management, or a related field.

Pay:
$65.00-$70.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus pay

Experience:

Product Management: 5 years (preferred)
