Production Planner - Hawkesbury, Canada - Lincoln Electric Company of Canada
Description
Major Responsibilities:
- To report directly to the Production Planning Supervisor on an ongoing basis and communicate all relevant matters pertaining to the business unit within the company. As well as, to communicate effectively with the management team with respect to clarity of direction, approval for decisions and execution of all responsibilities.
- Responsible for the scheduling of all production. Including the timely release, distribution and closing of work orders. This is to be done with particular attention to quantities actually produced and actual component consumption. Identify and manage production priorities.
- Develop and manage the plan for all materials to meet these production schedules. Keep accurate control of inventory moving to and from subcontracted processes.
- Responsible for structuring parts and BOM's in SAP per customer and business requirements
- Generate and participate in cycle counting activities.
- Responsible for coordinating changes to parts used in production (Code Breaks)
- Responsible for accurate inventory. Investigate reported discrepancies and make the proper adjustments when required.
- Liaise with Customer Service to ensure delivery dates are met.
- Work with Production Manager to ensure that subassembly items are being made according to the schedule and plan
Minimum Education, Experience and Training Requirements:
- 2 Year
- College Diploma or Equivalent
- 6+ years of relevant experience
- SAP knowledge
- Competent Understanding of MRP
- Strong Organizational Skills
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings
- Computer skills in Excel
