Come join our Head Office team and be part of the exciting behind the scenes aspect of the retail industry Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting the Accounting and Accounts Payable teams with administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete journal entries for monthly sales, credit cards and expenses
- Enter a high volume of invoices in QuickBooks
- Monitor invoices for fluctuations in recurring costs, freight costs and HST discrepancies
- Resolve price differences and short shipments with vendors
- Match invoices with packing slips
- Reconcile employee expenses and credit card statements
- Maintain filing system and records
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Competencies
- Minimum 1 year accounting and/or accounts payable experience
- Quick learner and great attention to detail
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks
- Must possess highlevel organization skills
- The ability to multitask, time manage, adapt to changing priorities, problem solve and be efficient in fast paced environments is a must
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Experience:
- Accounting: 1 year (preferred)
