WONDERING WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?
Your role will require you to bring a high standard of scientific excellence to your daily work
These responsibilities will include:
- Leading and/or supporting the development of regulatory strategies for preEnvironmental Assessment (EA), EA review and postEA permitting processes.
- Leading the preparation and/or review of construction environmental management plans and reports.
- Writing reports and presenting results to clients, regulators, Indigenous groups and stakeholders as part of regulatory and approval process.
- Work as a member of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating with your colleagues to maximize work productivity and quality.
THE QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
- A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in aquatic or fisheries science.
- R.P.Bio., or relevant professional designation, or eligible
- 5+ years of technical experience, consulting experience is an asset
- Knowledge of provincial, territorial, and federal environmental legislation, such as the _Impact Assessment Act, Fisheries Act Canadian Navigable Waters Act, BC Environmental Management Act, BC Mines Act, BC Forest Act, BC Water Sustainability Act, _and_ BC Environmental Assessment Act._
- Broad knowledge of a range of environmental disciplines (e.g., air quality, surface and groundwater quality, vegetation, wildlife, fish and fish habitat) and experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with the environmental aspects of construction projects.
- Effective analytical and technical writing skills and ability to produce high quality reports.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality, excellence, and ethics.
- Reliable, well organized, motivated, and able to work independently.
