We create the easy way for our customers.We are currently looking for an extraordinary Junior Service Technician to join our passionate Unifiller Team. The individual will have a charismatic and dynamic personality along with relevant experience and a willing to learn attitude.
Purpose:
The Junior Service Technician will be primarily responsible for the commissioning of Unifiller equipment under assembly at Unifiller's head office in Delta, and also providing on-site installations at the Customer site once further along in their Unifiller career.
The Junior Service Technician must able to tackle assignments with mínimal supervision and must be eligible to travel throughout North America.
Primary Duties:
- Service Tech Lead #2, or support to Lead #1 on Projects under assembly
- Follows SOPs (ex. Project Handover, etc.) on preparing the machines to be ready to ship, dryrun the machines to identify/resolve issues, prepare (ex. mix) customer's product(s) for WET testing the machines to verify performance as per the Order Confirmation
- Do onsite installations, service, and training primarily in North America
- Visit customers in area of service calls to ensure maximized customer care
- Manage customer expectations and maintain rapport with customers while examining complaints and identifying solutions
- Provide technical support on custom products with customers
- Service trip preparation and coordinating travel plans with Customer Care Administrator
- International travel upon request once trained
- Assess potential sales opportunities at Customers site; suggest improved methods and techniques; recommend system improvements
- Exhibit a professional attitude and image with a commitment to quality service
- Carries out other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Electrical and/or Electronics Trade Qualifications and/or background with a minimum of 3 years of field experience.
- Experienced with Allen Bradley and other PLC control systems and HMI panel screens
- Able to solve problems independently and make improvement recommendations
- Experienced with Device Net/CanBUS/Ethernet industrial networks
- Proficient with MS Office, with excellence in Word and MS Project
- Ability to interact with a variety of individuals from different backgrounds and cultures
- Must be willing to travel at least 50% of the time. Must have a valid Passport for international travel and a valid driver's License
- The ability to speak another language is an asset.
