Driver / Shipper / Receiver on a permanent, full-time basis.


Job Summary


The Driver / Shipper / Receiver plays a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely shipment and receipt of our products to and from our manufacturing facility.

This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

The Driver / Shipper / Receiver contributes to the company's success by ensuring the efficient movement of our products to and from our facility.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Delivery Responsibilities:_
  • Safely operate company delivery vehicles, adhering to all traffic rules and safety guidelines.
  • Deliver products to customers' sites, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Obtain signatures and relevant documentation upon delivery, confirming receipt of goods as required.
  • Gather finished products and equipment using warehousing equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts.

Receiving Responsibilities:
_

  • Operate forklifts skillfully and safely to move heavy objects within the shop and between heavy vehicles. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during forklift operations.
  • Prepare and package products for shipping, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and compliance with shipping regulations.
  • Coordinate with production management through the Asana system relating to pickups and deliveries scheduled by the vendors.
  • Load and unload products onto/from delivery vehicles while ensuring safe handling and securing of goods.
  • Receive incoming materials and products, verifying accuracy against packing lists and purchase orders.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies, and promptly notify the appropriate personnel if issues are identified.
  • Organize and store received materials in designated areas, updating inventory records as needed.

  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines while handling, loading, and unloading products. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents and promote safety.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and logistics partners regarding shipping and delivery updates. Report any issues, discrepancies, or incidents related to shipments promptly.
  • Inventory Management: Assist the Inventory team in maintaining accurate inventory records and may be tasked to conduct periodic physical inventory counts. Collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure proper stock levels and availability.

Minimum Requirements & KSAOs (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Attributes)

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or related fields are a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required. A forklift license is an asset.
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or delivery roles preferred.
  • Familiarity with oil and gas industry products and equipment is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, including proper packaging and documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail to accurately verify shipments and deliveries.
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy packages and operate forklifts or other equipment.
  • Good communication skills to interact with internal teams and external partners.
  • Basic computer skills to enter shipping and receiving data.
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
  • Commitment to safety rules and having a safety culture mindset.
  • Solid understanding of safety procedures.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives to meet the expectations of our discerning clients.

Bona Fide Occupational Requirement (BFOR)

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job:
  • standing for long periods of time;
- lifting heavy loads of up to 50 lbs.; and
- bending, twisting, and doing repetitive manual tasks.

  • Excellent hand, eye, and foot coordination.
  • Manual dexterity and good visual abilities to avoid hazardous and unsafe conditions.
  • Familiarity with various power tools and machinery.

Work Timings:
Weekdays (Monday to Friday) 7:30 AM to 4 PM (40 hours per week) with possible voluntary overtime. Performance review after three months.
