The Administrative Coordinator provides a range of financial, administrative, operational and project support for the Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology (FCAT) - Office of the Dean.
The Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of the Office of the Dean, providing confidential administration support, supporting the administrative activities and processes related to the temporary personnel appointment process and managing the facility and operational requirements within the Faculty.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline and two years of related experience, including project management or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Excellent planning and project coordination skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills.
- Excellent organizational, timemanagement, and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent research and analytical skills with the ability to summarize complex information into reports.
- Excellent problemsolving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently, establish priorities, meet deadlines and work on a number of different initiatives concurrently.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information and material with discretion.
- Ability to exercise mature judgment, initiative, diplomacy and tact.
- Ability to interpret policies and to develop recommendations.
- Ability to work in a highly demanding environment where issues are diverse and complex.
- Ability to arrange suitable transportation to various work locations as required and flexibility to work at various campus locations.
- Demonstrated ability to establish relationships and work cooperatively and effectively with others.
