As part of the ONxpress consortium, Alstom is proudly working to transform the collective mobility of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas (GTHA) through the On-Corridor Works project, and we are hiring for hundreds of roles.


The GO Expansion scope :

new electric locomotives, fleet upgrades, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications and digital systems, maintenance, and much more.


Purpose of the job:


Following the award to Alstom of the GO Expansion project to transform collective mobility in Toronto, the Finance team is looking for a Business Process & Tools Project Manager.

The primary mission is to gather & consolidate all business requirement to support the definition of the target Information Solutions of GO Expansion project and its interface with the Consortium's Cost Management System (CMS).

She/he will be in charge of managing and coordinating the interface deployment of Alstom's project management tool with the Cost Management System of the consortium.

In this role, you will be part of the GO Expansion project team based in Toronto. You will be the first point of contact for IS&T Partner and for the Consortium's Cost Management System provider.

Accountability and authorities:


The primary mission is to gather & consolidate all business requirement to support the definition of the target IS solutions of GO Expansion project and its interface with ONxpress Transportation Cost Management System.

Business requirements will cover finance, planning and risk management. This interface is instrumental to comply with open book contractual requirement and to ensure Alstom interest are preserved.


The Business process & tools project manager will have a key role to support implementation of processes and KPIs as per Alstom and customer requirements.

She/he will set-up the right governance with the Project team, IS&T and consortium partners.


Main responsibilities will include:


  • Map Alstom existing and targeted processed and tools for Finance, Planning and Risks management, with the support of Alstom's project management tool experts, IS&T and Metiers experts (Finance, Planning and Risks)
  • Collect business requirement needs and write functional specifications for Cost Management System, with contractual compliance as first objective Ensure interdependency between all process interfaces are defined (& documented) to ultimately deliver value to Alstom & the ONxpress Transportation consortium
  • Be the point of contact within Alstom project team for ONXpress Transportation CMS project manager and CMS provider.
  • Ensure vendor technical solution complies with functional specifications
  • Contribute to Cost Management System development detailed planning:
  • Describe activities on critical path
  • Identify project main stages (specification, development, testing, rollout, delivery )
  • Advocate Alstom interests and business requirements in the CMS design
  • Ensures all project closeout activities are completed in a timely manner on Alstom side
  • Ensure that business objectives are achieved, and milestones reached to secure Alstom's and ONxpress Transportation's solutions start of service
  • Manage risk and mitigation plan and priorities with the IS&T delivery PM
  • Participate to project management meetings with a focus on the best outcomes for the project.
  • Ensure CMS project reporting is accurate and timely
  • Support and advise the Finance Project Director in IS solutions related topics
  • Monitor and control Budget
  • Lead local change management on process and people (including training plan)
  • Manage communication within internal project team, and ONxpress Transportation partners
  • Assist IS&T department regarding project related matters: schedule, access, premises, etc
  • Become keyuser for the GO Expansion

CMS :
ensure the correct technical implementation, conduct functional tests, design and conducts training, facilitate the Go live, capture and follow up of incidents and defects & be accountable for process solving issue

  • Leverage Alstom's IS solutions in supporting GO Expansion Project financial and business needs

Education:


Mandatory:

  • Bachelor degree in finance and accounting or in engineering

Desirable:

  • Project Management Professional certification

Experience:


  • 10 years+ in a Finance and Accounting function or as Business Analyst/Architect on the Finance domain.
  • Extensive use of SAP ERP is a plus
  • Experience in project management and deployment processes
  • Experience in partnering with stakeholders such as customer, suppliers and associates, representing the organizations and team interests
  • Proven knowledge analyzing and satisfying business requirements employi
