Ruth and Naomi's (RAN) is a Christian faith-based organization with a vision and commitment to see the lives of people experiencing homelessness, poverty, and struggling with addiction transformed by the love of God.

To assist in this work, we are looking for an addiction recovery manager to run our Oasis Program.


Job Description and Duties

  • Oversee and manage overall operations of the Oasis program;
  • Manage the Recovery Support Workers (RSWs) and other staff facilitating services to clients, providing leadership and mentorship.
  • Oversee case management services, supporting RSWs with managing clients' program phase transitions, client care plans and goals.
  • Utilize Oasis statistics and data to improve and refine oprations;
  • Manage Oasis budget in conjunction with the Finance Manager
  • Develop documentation and refine Continuum of Care processes, as directed by the Director of Programming.
  • Collaborate with other Program Managers with oversight from the Director of Programming.
  • Develop and maintain networks with allied service providers in the community with RAN Mission and other professional cohorts.
  • Engage with other community partners to provide appropriate services to clients.
  • Provide support and assistance to clients in living within the framework of the _Oasis Residential Guidelines._
  • Lead weekly OASIS staff meetings.
  • Participate in Program Lead meetings, professional development and/or other opportunities as requested.
  • Speak on behalf of RAN Mission and/or OASIS in other community settings when requested.
  • Ensure the safety and security of clients, other employees, and volunteers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Summary of Qualifications and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree or other related addiction training required; master's degree in behavioral sciences an asset, with priority given to the disciplines of psychology, addiction recovery, clinical social work or clinical counselling.
  • Nonviolent intervention training and/or certificate.
  • Lived experience with addiction and personal recovery journey an asset.
  • Ability to use computer and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PPT, Excel, Publisher).
  • Experience working in a stressful, emotionally challenging environment.
  • Experience working in either the addiction treatment or mental health fields.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
  • Demonstrates a personal life in keeping with core Christian values and is an active member of a local church.
  • Biblically minded and able to view all actions and interactions with a Christian mindset.
