_We are recruiting for a Human Resources Coordinator for our facility in Cambridge, ON.
ROLE SUMMARY
Provides support within Human Resources, primarily in the areas of Employee Relations, Recruiting and Compensation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Compensation Support
- Assist with the creation, updating, filing and maintenance of job descriptions and related job families for all BWXT positions in Canada.
- Assist with annual salary survey submissions and mapping of positions.
- Assist with Job Evaluation efforts.
- Assist with Pay Equity related legislation alignment efforts (Job Class mapping, collecting job information, etc.).
- Assist with daytoday Salary Analysis tasks during peak annual compensation planning periods.
- Administration and timely delivery of Service Recognition Awards.
- Weekly payroll reporting for approved spot bonus payments.
- Other various projects as required.
- Preparation of salaried orientation packages for new hires.
- Conduct new hire orientation sessions.
- Coordinate new hire paperwork and ensure it is submitted to Payroll and HRIS in a timely manner.
- Follow up and track posthire documentation.
- Coordinate and ensure new hire set up arrangements are complete (i.e. computer/iPhone, ID badge, etc.).
- Track and report to HR Generalist monthly contract end dates for contract renewals.
- Assist with job fairs as required.
- Complete mandatory Stats Canada surveys.
- Coordinate employee termination paperwork amongst key stakeholders (manager, employee, Payroll, etc.).
- Coordinate and prepare exit interview packages for HR Generalist.
- Pension and Benefit program support.
- Employment letters for salaried staff.
- Travel letters for US BWXT employees travelling to Canadian sites.
- File room maintenance and general filing.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ideally, a graduate of a Human Resources program with at least 2 years of HR related experience.
- Compensation and Pay Equity experience would be a definite asset.
- Possess proven problem solving and decision making skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Excellent relationship building skills.
- Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to details.
- A commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word.

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
