    Lauremont School is inviting applications from motivated, inspiring individuals for the position of:

    Lauremont is a leading independent school in Richmond Hill, Ontario that combines Montessori and International Baccalaureate frameworks to provide students from 18 months to Grade 12 the foundation for a life of goodness and excellence.

    The Lauremont Upper School is the only independent school in York Region that offers the International Baccalaureate Programme.

    The Assistant Head, Upper School will be part of the Upper School Senior Leadership Team and school-wide Leadership Team which are responsible for maintaining congruence between the school's mission statement and all academic activities, and helping to maintain a positive and mission appropriate environment for all members of the Upper School community.

    This position reports to the Head of Upper School and is a full-time position that will be based at our Upper School campus.

    Leadership Traits/Personal Qualities
    Works with the Head of Upper School to formulate school policy.
    Works with teachers and students and parents to create a thriving, outstanding, dynamic and aspirational academic culture.
    Promotes pride in the school among all students, faculty, staff and parents of Lauremont School.
    Oversees the Co-curricular program including assemblies.
    Attends annual summer Leadership Retreats and any other similar events to advance the work of the team.
    Completion of CAIS Leadership and/or PQPs is considered an asset.
    Experience in an IB school is an asset.
    Superior competencies in relationship building, leadership, and planning.
    ~ At least 5 years of leadership experience as an educator in senior administration.
