REAL-R is looking for an Account / Project Manager for an Edmonton based flooring company.Requirements:
Years' experience in sales
- Experience managing projects
- Experience in flooring or related industry is an asset.
- Proficiency in Windows/Outlook/Word/Excel is required and an understanding of Mac computers.
- Must have a vehicle that can be used to visit customer sites
- Desire to provide high quality products with excellent customer service
- Strong communication skills
- Strong presentation, strategic thinking, negotiation and closing skills
- Relentless drive to seek new business
- A natural ability at building authentic customer relationships
- Strong work ethic
Responsibilities:
Account Manager:
- Work with General Manager to develop and implement an effective sales strategy to drive sales.
- Researching supplier, competitor, and end user products and pricing (i.e., identifying the different marketplaces that we work within)
- Keeping abreast of the latest industry developments, trends, and conditions through meetings, product knowledge workshops, industry events, magazines, online, etc.
- Building and sustaining professional relationships with new leads and existing clients
- Researching and pursuing potential leads, including following up
- Conducting facetoface meetings with potential and existing clients
- Accurately qualifying the needs, timeframes, and budgets of clients by presenting a variety of product, design, and pricing options.
- Creating and submitting quotes for potential or existing clients in client database program
- Negotiating with suppliers (e.g., pricing) and clients (e.g., specs) to maximize sales and gross profit.
- Ordering needed product and submitting an accurate purchase order/quote in client database program.
- Timely responding to requests from clients, suppliers, employees, etc.
- Ensuring pertinent communication with clients is documented (quotes, change orders, etc.) are in client database program
- Timely invoicing throughout the project (e.g. progress billing, final billing).
Project Manager:
- Collaborating with clients, designers, architects, developers, contractors, etc. to determine the scope of work for the project.
- Confirming needed resources (labour, materials, equipment, etc.) from start to finish with attention to budgetary, schedule, and scope limitations.
- Preparing in advance and reviewing company installation processes, policies, procedures, etc. with the client
- Planning, scheduling, organizing, managing and controlling projects from start to finish according to the prearranged schedule, specifications and budget. Including site measurement, site supervision/management, and site inspection in both preinstallation and post installation.
- Coordinating and documenting all purchase ordering in the client database program.
- Confirming and documenting revisions, change orders, signoffs, and additions to contractual agreements with architects, designers, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, etc.
- Coordinating installation dates and times with Production manager
- Ensuring warehouse and installers receive accurate information and work orders regarding installation scope of work and schedule
- Supervising the work of installers and provide guidance as necessary.
- Periodic checkins with both installation team and client on progress of the project
- Ensuring adherence to all health and safety standards and reporting issues.
- Attending and facilitating site meetings, as required
- Prioritizing and addressing deficiencies in a timely and professional manner
