ROLE:


The Business Development Representative will be responsible for sourcing and securing new customers and works within a team environment to pursue business opportunities for GRM Inc.

Activities will be directed by our operations and business development teams and will support growth in the market segments that have been identified as key priorities for development.

In addition, they are responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships through effective communication to achieve business goals and objectives.

They are also responsible for obtaining and maintaining essential client resource lists and promoting GRM's service offerings.


REPORTS TO:

Director of Marketing and Business Development


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Develop and follow up on new business leads
  • Ensure all communication with new or existing customers is documented in a CRM system
  • Prepare and analyze data to build a sales pipeline
  • Offer professional, effective, and efficient solutions for customer inquiries and concerns
  • Handle customer concerns effectively while fostering sustainable customer relationships
  • Guide price competitiveness to meet client needs
  • Participate in trade shows, training programs, or client meetings as required
  • Work with the bid and proposal team on tender opportunities as required
  • Leverage both inbound leads and outbound activities through proactive and creative prospecting
  • Understand the needs and goals of each customer to best align them with the appropriate solution, resources, or internal teams for followup
  • Provide excellent customer service with each point of contact, and reach out multiple times to each lead to drive connection
  • Open communication with the director of business development to ensure the effective movement of qualified leads into operations processes
  • Network within assigned accounts to secure and grow business opportunities
  • Attend business reviews to assess opportunities for market share improvements
  • Implement the shortterm and longterm Strategic Plan and ensure the achievement of established goals, targets, and metrics
  • Provide regular progress reports against KPIs to the Director of Business Development

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:


  • Minimum five years of technical/management experience in a related industry
  • Experience in business development and providing solutions based on customer needs
  • Experience in customer service, satisfaction surveys and customer relations improvement
  • Demonstrable experience in negotiating and delivering realistic business expectations
  • Indepth understanding of financial performance metrics
  • Handson experience utilizing internal corporate CRM tools
  • Proven track record of working to KPIs and achieving the target
  • Must be located in Calgary, Alberta CANADA
  • Available to travel as needed across Canada
