We are hiring a Classroom/Supervision Aide to work in the classroom in VTT's Bayit Program for the 2024/25 school year.

This position may be a full-time position from 8am to 5:15pm or a part-time position starting later in the day to 5:15pm.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Supporting the classroom teacher
Helping children smoothly transition to morning activities
Working with small groups of students on teacherdirected activities
Supervising students during snack, lunch time and outdoor play time
Teacher prep work
Experience working with classroom teachers to help them understand the needs of students
Experience working with children in large groups
Can help facilitate games and activities for students
Has a positive attitude and works well with others
Good communication skills
Excellent conflict resolution skills
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather
Responsible for supervising students in VTT's After School (Bayit) Program.
Ensure student safety and that students comply with school rules, ensuring appropriate behavior.
Intervene in potentially unsafe play situations and facilitate conflict resolutions between students.
Walking and standing for the duration of the shift.
Required to circulate the school grounds, focus on your surroundings and remain alert at all times.
Formal education/training is an asset.
Consent to a criminal ("CRC") record/vulnerable sector check and provide a resulting valid CRC
Maintain, at all times, the legal authorization to work in Canada
