The Opportunity
As a Wellness Coach, you play a vital role with direct member support within our fitness facility. This position supports achievement of operational goals through enhanced member experience, engagement, and retention.
Responsibilities include
'¢ Provide group and individual orientations
'¢ Periodic checks and supervision of the track
'¢ Maintain a clean and well-organized weight and cardio floor (cleaning protocols for COVID will be upheld)
'¢ Provide a safe culture for YMCA members and staff through proper usage of fitness centre equipment and proper gym etiquette.
'¢ Upholding all YMCA policies, procedures, and best practices.
'¢ Supervision of the weight floor willing to give corrective feedback, coaching tips and support to members as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
'¢ 1-2 years' experience working in the Fitness Industry
'¢ Certified YMCA Wellness Coach; NSFA Resistance Leader; Group Fitness certification in Strength with personal experience on the weight floor or equivalent
'¢ Strong customer service/ sales skills, with demonstrated ability to build relationships and establish rapport with clients
'¢ Bilingual in French, Arabic, etc. is an asset
'¢ Excellent verbal & written communication skills
'¢ Self-motivated, with strong attention to detail
'¢ Strong organizational and time management skills
'¢ Flexibility to work irregular hours is required
'¢ Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
'¢ Bilingual in French, Arabic, etc. is an asset
'¢ Excellent verbal & written communication skills
'¢ Self-motivated, with strong attention to detail
'¢ Strong organizational and time management skills
'¢ Flexibility to work irregular hours is required
'¢ Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
