Position purpose


Reporting to the Director, Marketing & Communications, the incumbent plans, designs and implements marketing strategies for the Telfer School of Management and its staff.

This person coordinates Telfer's social media, actively designs promotional tools for its services, programs, and events, and ensures compliance with the Telfer brand.


In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Promotion strategies: Designs strategies to promote Telfer services, programs and activities based on social media, print media and Telfer's marketing group network, as needed. Participates in the planning of various events that are organized by or held at Telfer by offering marketing support and anticipating needs.
  • Adaptation to technology: Keeps abreast of emerging trends and technologies related to digital marketing and content creation. Adapts strategies and recommendations accordingly.

What you will bring:

  • Indepth knowledge of marketing principles normally acquired through a university degree in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Three years' demonstrated experience in the writing and publication of digital content.
  • Three years' demonstrated experience in the design and execution of digital marketing and social media strategies
  • Recent experience in working with online communities and social media engagement (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
  • Professional experience in analytics and in producing reports.
  • Experience in writing content for online platforms
  • Experience in shooting, editing and posting videos and photos for social media
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision, take the initiative and remain selfmotivated
  • Proven ability to be diplomatic and tactful
  • Organizational skills, including the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks or projects simultaneously
  • Creativity and ability to turn ideas into graphic images
  • Experience in using graphic design software


  • Bilingualism

  • French and English (spoken and written)
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends, as required by the position.
