Job Summary

The Casual Administrator will provide support to the Commerce Program and Academic Integrity Lead. The Casual Administrator will spend approximately 10 hours per week on this assignment, although this will vary from week-to-week.

Note:

that due to the time-sensitive nature of this work, the support person will need to work several partial days each week, as required.


Job Description:


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Alerting the AI Lead of messages that require their attention, response, or decision
  • Creating and maintaining files for AI cases including: Organizing and naming documents in logical order for file review, sharing files securely
  • Corresponding with appellants, respondents, other support persons, and others, including requesting and securely sending documents
  • Verifying documents and gathering additional information as necessary

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Be committed to protecting confidentiality, privacy, and acting with discretion
  • Be strongly detailoriented and organized, with the ability to organize work and documents for others
  • Have strong interpersonal skills including empathy and sensitivity working with diverse community members at all levels of the University
  • Have a university degree or equivalent education/experience
  • Know or learn the Queen's Student Academic Integrity Procedures
  • Requirements for Schools and Faculties
  • Familiarity with Queen's University policies and practices would be an asset
  • Assisting with investigations and complex cases
  • Scheduling appeal meetings
  • Attending appeal meetings and taking notes
  • Assisting with filling templates and drafting letters
  • Keeping records and timelines, ensuring cases proceed according to the policy requirements
