Our Materials Engineering team is looking for add an Engineer-in-Training II in their team.

We are looking for a hardworking engineer who has a passion to learn and become a part of outstanding team.


What You Will Do:

  • Support developing and updating company specifications and practices related to steel and Polyethylene pipes and components, welding and Heat and Electro Fusion joining to ensure compliance with current industry standards and regulations
  • Lead/support developing item master, approved material list and assessment of new materials and products of interest to the company.
  • Develop and maintain company welding and fusion procedures to ensure compliance with CSA Z662, ASME IX, ASTM F2620, ASTM F1290, CSA B137.4 and best practices.
  • Review and approve thirdparty welding and Polyethylene fusion procedures for compliance with CSA Z662, ASME IX, ASTM F2620, ASTM F1290 and CSA B137.4
  • Support field welding and Polyethylene Fusion operations through procedure selection and troubleshooting.

Who You Are:

You have the following education and experience:

  • Accredited University degree in Metallurgical, Mechanical, Chemical or Materials Engineering, or equivalent with 2 or more years of experience in oil and gas industry.
  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain P.Eng. designation in Ontario.
  • Demonstrated strong technical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. An ability to build and maintain a good working relationship with the client groups is critical to this role.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and working knowledge of MS project, GIS and Maximo.
  • Ability to think analytically and perform detailed analysis.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects at one time and meet defined timelines.
