Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepares / processes all sponsored and nonstudent billing (Third parties) for the college daily.
  • Analyses and tracks all sponsorship letters received from various agencies and sponsoring organizations (Corporate, WSIB, Non
  • Profit Organizations, Hospitals, and other Sectors/Institutions) to ensure sponsored students are registered and the organizations are invoiced for the student's fees.
  • Reviews all requests and handles all departments billing to third parties for services rendered.
  • Controls and processes all millennium batches verifying that all postings are processed accurately as per chart of accounts.
  • Analyses and runs regular interface between the Millennium subledger and Banner system on a regular basis to investigate any posting errors.
  • Responsible for preparing monthly reconciliation of Banner GL interface accounts (1244, 1249 & 1264) for audit purposes.
  • Investigates and analyses all departmental inputs before posting to the millennium module sub ledger in case of discrepancies; guides and advises department to rectify their inputs and accounting codes accordingly.
  • Investigates all outstanding claims/charges and follows up accordingly.
  • Assist the students, the departments, and the sponsors in all their inquiries related to sponsored students independently.
  • Mails out monthly customer statements of outstanding invoices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Educational and Experience Requirements:


  • Threeyear Diploma or degree from a recognized postsecondary institution in Accounting, Business, or equivalent education.
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in an office environment with indepth knowledge in computer systems including spreadsheet, wordprocessing, and database.
  • Accounting experience required.
  • Must have knowledge of the Banner SIS system, including cashiering and interface.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint is required.
Knowledge of accounting ratios for AR module analysis such as days outstanding, etc. is required.

Skills and Attributes:
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Able to lift between 20 kg or 44 lbs (i.e., boxes of files etc.).
  • Ability to travel between campuses for meetings and training purposes on a monthly basis.
  • Demonstrated communication, customer service, teamwork, and interpersonal skills at a professional level.
  • Demonstrated commitment to uphold the College's priorities on diversity and equity.

Interview process may consist of a practical skills component.
