OVERVIEW


The Table Games Scheduling Manager is responsible for the creation of quarterly Bid Blocks and the weekly scheduling requirements for the Table Games Department.

This position manages a scheduling team to efficiently and effectively deploy weekly schedules for a department over 500 employees.

The Scheduling Manager must be dynamic in their ability to handle multiple and varied tasks in the daily functioning of the department.

This role is a temporary contract for 18 months.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage all aspects of the scheduling process and work to continuously improve processes and procedures to increase productivity and reduce labour cost
Monitors scheduling request and ensures all work is being scheduled and completed in a timely manner
Develop and maintain formal processes and procedures for scheduling
Accountable to oversee the creating and managing schedule for the Table Games Department
Ensure the schedules conform to all aspects of the Unifor Collective Agreement
Ensure the operational needs of the Table Games department are met with appropriate staffing levels
Monitor Associates schedules, time and attendance and vacation/LOA policies
Responsible for providing professional and superior customer service in accordance with established company standards
Respond to Associates questions and inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Review the records of time sheet and attendance records logged on a daily basis
Create and set budget for labour cost in collaboration with Management
Monitoring labour cost and making recommendation for further efficiencies
Other duties and projects as assigned


Responsibilities & Qualifications:


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Previous scheduling management experience is required in a casino environment
Experience working with ADP and its operations an asset
General understanding of the casino operation and schedules
Must have exposure with union relations and collective bargaining agreements
Experience in administration and accounting is an asset

Ability to work shifts over a 24/7 roster with the flexiblity and willingness to work days, nights weekends, and public holidays.

CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES REQUIREMENTS

Ability to obtain a valid GPEB registration
Ability to complete all BCLC required trainings
Serving it Right Certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to lift, handle, and transport materials that are over 20lbs
Required to sit, stand and walk during working hours
