Child Care United of Leeds and Grenville is looking to add to our supply educator list. All applicants must be dependable, resourceful, a team member and love working with children.

Our centres operate year-round, offering care to Infant, Toddler, Preschool and School Age children with programs located within Gananoque and Lansdowne.

Starting wage for casual RECE is $22.91 per hour or $21.58 per hour for Non-RECE, inclusive of all government funding.

Casual supply staff are pre-booked as well as an on-call basis. Registered Early Childhood Educators preferred as future hiring is normally completed from our internal list.

The educators are responsible for providing engaging and supportive supervision while caring for the children within our programs, in a manner that is consistent with Child Care United's policies and program statement.

As educators in the classroom, we look for enthusiastic, loving, patient, creative individuals who promote security and self-confidence and are committed to quality care.

The individuals must be professional, flexible, and have an ability to problem solve.

Individuals are responsible for ensuring that all standards of the Child Care and Early Years Act are upheld, as well as Public Health regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Available for flexible shifts
• Early Childhood Education Diploma and Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators (an asset)
• Up to date First Aid and CPR (Level C)
• Clear Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Check (Completed within the last 6 months)
• Up to date immunizations (including TB test)
• Plan and carry out child programming while actively supervising the children
• Active knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act, How Does Learning Happen, ELECT
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
