With a workforce of over 100 field technicians, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ammonia Service Team Leader to oversee and support the operational and field processes for our ammonia specialty business across our regional company.

Reports to President, FVRL and interfaces with Industrial Refrigeration Construction Leader


Position Overview:

The Ammonia Service Team Leader is responsible for leading, mentoring, and coordinating the ammonia service team in British Columbia while executing our contractual obligations to our customer and driving growth of our ammonia service contract base


Key Responsibilities:


Field Support:


  • Dispatch and manage NH3 service technicians for
  • Small project and upgrade work
  • Breakdowns, leak and other on demand calls
  • Monthly or preprogrammed maintenance calls
  • Oversee and provide guidance with ongoing work as required
  • Provide coaching, training, and mentorship as required to enhance team performance
  • Monitor compressor maintenance requirements for sites
  • Monitor Service agreement PM works/schedules including equipment maintenance requirements for Customer sites
  • Manage risks safety/financial/warranty related
  • Monitor and optimize service processes and billing
  • Communicate with Safety Authority as required
  • Is familiar with and abides by dangerous goods transport documentation requirements

Technical Support:


  • NH3 Parts sales
  • Technical phone support to clients
  • Technical support/research for Technicians when required
  • Order parts for compressor overhauls; Cornell pumps; gases; etc.
  • Parts and equipment ordering and tracking for ongoing/upcoming works and for inventory restocking
  • Manage Brine/Glycol/Oil samples for Lab analysis and report out to customers

Sales and Administrative:


  • Answer direct calls from Customers, assess nature of problem/urgency and then dispatch Quote service repairs, small projects, and upgrades
  • Replacement parts sales
  • Oversee all NH3 service & parts invoicing
  • Maximize price and fee levels while ensuring continued competitive pricing in marketplace
  • Review service reports submitted for follow up work needed and assist in identifying opportunities for providing additional services and equipment retrofits.
  • Build and maintain key customer relationships to enhance client retention.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the HVAC/Refrigeration service industry.
  • Industrial refrigeration experience or food or recreation industry experience would be an asset
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problemsolving skills.
  • Proficiency in using service management software and tools.
  • Ability to travel between branches as needed.
  • Strong communicator in all aspects of their work with technicians, customers and administrative colleagues
  • Possess valid Driver's Licence
  • Business Operations knowledge would be an asset but can be developed over time
