Morning Shift - Mon. to Fri. 7am - 4pm - $19 to start


The Washbay Attendant position is primarily responsible for the cleaning of both the interior and exterior of the U-Pak fleet.

With over 150 trucks and trailers, the washbay technician position plays an integral role in the operation at U-Pak.

We rely on this position to ensure the fleet both looks and functions in a way that represents the high level of service expected by our customers.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Perform high pressure washing of U-Pak trucks and equipment
  • Clean interior (windows, dash, controls, floor)
  • Clean exterior and engine (as required)
  • Keep accurate documentation of which vehicles are washed or expected to be washed
  • Be on the lookout and report any defects or safety issues during cleaning process
  • Follow truck washing instructions as directed by Supervisors
  • Go offsite for spill cleanup when required

Qualifications:


  • Experience washing transport or waste trucks an asset
  • 1 year practical truck service in the waste industry an asset
  • Knowledge of air brakes and hydraulics is an asset
  • Experience using a high pressure washing mechanism an asset
  • AZ/DZ license an asset
  • Able to lift lbs.
  • Perform duties such as lifting, crouching, pushing, pulling, bending and kneeling to clean trucks
  • High School diploma or equivalent

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$19.00-$23.00 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
