Responsibilities:


  • Review and assess high school credentials for preliminary entrance, and post
- secondary transcripts for transfer credit.

  • Conduct appropriate followups for all related parts of the applicant record to encourage conversion.
  • Advise prospective students and their parents/family on Concordia programs and services, and admissions requirements.
  • Make appropriate recommendations for professional and/or graduate programs.
  • Utilize online sources/tools to interpret international credentials, credits, and grades into Canadian equivalents.
  • Scan and maintain electronic records.
  • Provide front desk coverage in Student and Enrollment Services.
  • Advise current, and prospective applicants in person, via Google meetings and telephone.
  • Prepare Institutional Statistics that are used by various stakeholders at CUE.
  • Provide training to new Admissions Advisors.
  • Verify Study permits, and enter into Student Information System database
  • Help organize and provide staffing for various recruitment events.

Requirements:


  • A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years' customer service experience.
  • Effective cross cultural, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, recordkeeping, and ability to maintain professionalism and courtesy in answering/delivering telephone messages.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to modify duties when required.
  • Ability to exercise good judgement within established guidelines and capable of working with frequent disturbances.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with Google Docs, is required with an aptitude to learn other software as required.
  • Knowledge of postsecondary education systems, requirements, policies and the evaluation of credentials and admission documents would be considered an asset.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a security clearance.
