Specialist, Psychological Health and Wellness - Human Services

Status: Contract Full Time - 13 month duration

Salary Range: $89,469 - $111,834 per year plus comprehensive benefits

Work mode: Hybrid

Location: 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton

Hours of work: 35 hours per week

We are in search of a Specialist focused on Psychological Health and Wellness. As part of this role, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance organizational psychological health and wellness at the Region of Peel by implementing the National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace.

Key responsibilities include offering expert advice on psychological health and wellness, leading project initiatives, fostering mental health awareness, and promoting staff engagement in psychological health programs to reduce stigma.

Additionally, you will ensure that corporate projects integrate psychological health and safety considerations throughout their life cycle, apply psychological health concepts to departmental programs, and contribute to policy development.

Utilizing your expertise, you will advocate for innovative practices that address mental health issues, provide support for mental health and corporate wellness, and offer training on psychological health and safety and resilience building.

What the role requires:

  • University degree or equivalent work experience in a health-related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in workplace psychological health and wellness
  • Knowledge of current trends in workplace psychological health and wellness
  • Potential travel may be necessary

In this position, you will have the opportunity to work remotely and on-site across Peel Region, ensuring business needs are met while offering personal flexibility.
