What responsibilities will you have in this role?

  • Builds upon and executes current social media strategy across multiple platforms including, but not limited, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Generates, edits, publishes, schedules, and shares daily content, through a social media management tool that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.
  • Optimizes engagement within each platform to increase the visibility of social content.
  • Moderates all usergenerated content through community management support.
  • Improves continuously by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and best practices, and then acting on the information and reporting it to the Digital Engagement team.
  • Works towards achieving targets against Business Plan as it pertains to social engagement.
  • Acts as a resource for the team on social media best practices.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

What qualifications do you need for this role?

  • Twoyear diploma from a recognized postsecondary institution or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years related experience in a postsecondary environment; practical office experience in a busy, customer serviceoriented environment is needed.
  • Experience culminating statistical and other impact reports.
  • Proficiency with various social media platforms.
  • Exceptional problemsolving skills: ability to troubleshoot and resolve conflict; ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to cope under pressure associated with the management of numerous highvolume tasks in a busy service environment; high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Tact and diplomacy are required when dealing with upset students and to exhibit good judgment.
  • Ability to assess students for proper referral; understanding of accommodating students with special needs.
  • Demonstrated commitment in delivering excellent service to others as this is key in supporting the success of our students and our College.
  • Effective ability to interact with others and deal with situations in ways that respect diverse backgrounds, experience, and styles.
  • Flexibility in adapting to change and in participating in consultative decisionmaking processes.
