Domtar Inc., Specialty Papers Division, Espanola Operations is currently looking for looking for energetic and dedicated people to join our team - Operating Labour Pool - Entry Level Positions in our Pulp and Paper Mill.


Located in Espanola ON (75 km's away from Sudbury, ON), Espanola is a gateway to outdoor adventure in North-Eastern Ontario.


As an integrated mill, Espanola operates one pulp machine for making specialty hardwood and softwood pulps, and two paper machines that produce more than 300 different types of paper.

Espanola ranks among the most innovative mills in North America. The Espanola Mill is ISO 9001 certified.

Our FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) chain of custody certification, along with ISO 14001, also places us in the North American forefront.


EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

  • Postsecondary education or secondary school diploma with 2 years of work/industrial experience is required.
  • Industrial experience is an asset
  • Experience with operating machinery is an asset

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Safety conscious, Selfmotivated, Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, Ability to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Ensuring housekeeping standards are met
  • Accurately performs duties in accordance with SOP, Environmental, Health & Safety procedures, Equipment Manuals Job Aids and working instructions.
  • Accurately completes all documentation in their area of responsibility.
  • Willing to adapt and work in an inclusive work environment
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Willing to perform repetitive tasks
  • Must be able to lift, up to 50lbs
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and problemsolving skills
  • Complete physically demanding tasks
  • Detail orientated
  • Other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position involves shift work and 12 hour shifts (rotating days and nights)
  • The Espanola Mill runs 24 hours/day, 7 days/week
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Frequent exposure to extreme hot and cold weather conditions
