Job Description:
This service professional actively coordinates and supports the Sales team in aspects of the Sales and Catering office._ _We are looking for a detail-oriented, multi-tasker that is dedicated to providing exceptional service to our internal and external clients.
What you will be doing:
Ensure prompt and courteous service is extended to both internal and external clients
Maintain an orderly work environment
- Accountability and ownership for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
- Maintains a complete knowledge of the hotel's facilities and services as well as the competition
- Answer department phone lines and direct calls as required
- Assist in qualifying sales leads and data management
- Prepares proposals, contracts and other documents as required
- Respond attentively to client and department general inquiries
- Checking daily arrivals in Property Manager system
- Conducts site inspections / walkins in the absence or as requested by the Sales Managers and Directors
- Maintain current sales and promotional literature
- Coordinate with other departments within the hotel to ensure distribution of information
- Attends scheduled meetings, takes and distributes minutes
- Assists with office equipment operation such as printers, copiers, fax machines and telephones. Order necessary services as requested and approved by a Director
- Assist with preparation and followup of sales trips
- Assist with duties of the Sales Managers in their absence
- Department lead on the Brand Loyalty Program All / All Meeting Planner
- Demonstrates Fairmont Service Promise Standards and Fairmont Values in all interactions with both colleagues and guests.
- Adheres to all colleague health and safety responsibilities.
- Adheres to the hotel's environmental policies and procedures
- Other tasks and duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Onetwo years previous hotel or hospitality industry experience
- Hotel Catering and/or Sales experience is an asset
- Previous experience in working with Customer manager System (Delphi, Opera, event Temple)
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required.
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
