Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or related field and five years of related experience in the design, strategy, planning and execution of marketing/communication plans, with experience working in dialogue and/or engagement or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.


  • Excellent knowledge of creative design software tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite etc.).
  • Excellent knowledge of print and electronic media, blogs, and social media tools including statistics reporting and tracking.
  • Excellent knowledge of web maintenance (e.g. AEM, Drupal, WordPress, HTML, CSS, SEO).
  • Good knowledge of performance measurement tools (e.g. digital analytics software) for various online communications and marketing purposes.
  • Good knowledge of dialogue and engagement.
  • Knowledge of good practices for intercultural engagement, including cultural literacy in the norms of multiple communities in Metro Vancouver and Canada.
  • Knowledge of creating culturally appropriate spaces and contexts (social and historical) for engagement between Indigenous and nonIndigenous peoples.
  • Knowledge of participatory engagement processes and working with groups traditionally underserved by government or facing barriers to participation.
  • Excellent copy writing and copyediting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to rewrite news media and social media content into concise and accessible language for a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to function effectively in a fastpaced, deadline driven environment.
